Reimbursement Request

CYHA understands the financial impact the goalie position can be and will help offset the cost of equipment for goalies. The reimbursement of equipment will vary based on the level of play.

The figures listed below are equal to approximately half of the estimated cost of a full set of equipment for that level of play as determined by the CYHA Goalie Director and approved by the CYHA board.

The equipment reimbursement limits for each level is ...

• $3,000 for U15, Junior Gold, and Bantam
• $2,500 for Peewee and U12
• $2,000 Squirt and U10
• $1,500 for Mite/8U (can't also use association gear)

Steps for Reimbursement:

1. Items will need to be purchased from a business first
2. Complete the Goalie Reimbursement registration and turn in the reimbursement requests and receipts.

Restrictions:

• The reimbursements will only be made while the goalie is registered with CYHA during the current season, beginning when registration opens and ending March 31st.
• Any purchases made outside this window can be reimbursed once the player is registered for the upcoming season.
• Any reimbursement request that is over a year old will not be considered.
• The reimbursement amount listed above is the total amount for a two year period.
• Once two years is up the goalie will be eligible for reimbursement at their current level of play.
• No person to person sales will be reimbursed.
• CYHA will not reimburse for multiple quantities of the same item within the two year period. For example 2 helmets or 2 sticks.
• All reimbursements will be submitted to, and reviewed by, the CYHA Goalie Director. Final approval will be made by the CYHA President. All reimbursements will be tracked and periodically reviewed by the CYHA Board.
• If a goalie has received reimbursement within the last 6 months and leaves CYHA to play elsewhere, CYHA reserves the right to collect the reimbursement back.
• If a goalie has received reimbursement and does not complete the season (excluding a season ending injury) in the goalie position, CYHA reserves the right to collect the reimbursement back.
• “Move in” goalies must register before they are eligible for reimbursement. No reimbursement for items prior to registration date.
• Reimbursement is only for CYHA goalies and not co-op goalies.

• Goalie skates
• Leg pads
• Goalie breezers
• Protective cup
• Chest protector
• Glove and blocker
• Helmet, cage, neck guard
• Stick
• Bag
